Synopsis

Turrell Speaker is a conceptual product design. Inspired by the light-based artworks of James Turrell, the speaker uses colour to draw the user in. Additionally, it expands the presence of the album art, giving it a more prominent status within the room.

Reflection

Turrell Speaker was a great exercise to improve my 3D-rendering skill. Additionally, it was the first speaker design I made, and it made me interested in not only exploring the aesthetics, but also the user experience. This was further explored in Parameter Radio and Dynamix.
